Door interlock switch enables frequent manual circuit interruptions with 100,000-cycle life span
C&K Components has developed a rugged snap-mount interlock pushbutton switch for door interlock systems. The reliable DS Series interlock switch provides latching or momentary actions to deliver a variety of integration options, including typical applications as a detection switch or a circuit interrupt in harsh environments. The single- or double-pole double-throw DS Series switches are RoHS-compliant and made of halogen free material.
The DS interlock pushbutton switch has rugged copper alloy, silver-plated common terminals and F5-rated, gold-plated over silver alloy contacts for robust performance. The dielectric strength of the DS switch is measured at 1500V (50-60Hz at sea level) and insulated at 100m? (minimum) with initial contact resistance rated at 30 milliohms.
“The DS Series switch allows for a multitude of new design options due to its unique construction that combines quick assembly and prolonged performance,” said Vinny Acampora, product manager at C&K Components. “The extensive electrical life of 100,000 cycles makes it ideal for multi-function security systems, gaming equipment, commercial appliances and even HVAC applications requiring frequent manual circuit interruptions.
